Phil Maitland

Phil Maitland graduated liverpool city college in 1995 with a city and guilds advanced diploma in furniture, craft and design. The full time 2 year course allowed him to develop a flair and interest in design and innovation specifically with new materials, associated technologies and processes, detailed knowledge of granite, Corian
and plastics.

Phil also explores and masters traditional and noble construction methods associated with restoration techniques and materials. As well as an exploration of synthetic modern materials, where he is currently developing for a granite stone veneer for within interior design and furniture applications and new products.

On graduation phil was employed in a full time capacity for a development company in north Liverpool until he began developing projects for himself, converting and renovating apartment properties (11 flats) then progressing onto 7 barn conversions over a period of 3 years. he has also completed prestige conversions and renovations of 150K budget with high specification and bespoke installations, from built in furniture to individually designed oak staircases in the northwest, notably, Albert dock (Liverpool) and Albert mills (Manchester).
